Community guidelines

How we expect everyone to behave on Yonsi.

Last updated 15 June 2025

Yonsi connects employers and workers across India. These guidelines explain how to use the platform respectfully and safely. They apply to job posts, profiles, chat, and notifications. They supplement our terms of use and privacy policy.

Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension.

1. Be respectful

Treat others as you would in a professional setting:

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech
  • No slurs or attacks based on religion, caste, gender, disability, or nationality
  • No unwanted sexual content or advances in chat
  • Keep disagreements civil — decline work without insults

2. Post honest jobs

Employers must describe work accurately:

  • Real tasks, real pay (or clear negotiable terms), real location or remote status
  • No bait-and-switch listings that change pay or duties after interest is shown
  • No jobs that exist only to collect money, leads, or personal data
  • Close or update posts when the role is filled or no longer available

Illegal work, unsafe conditions without proper disclosure, or jobs that violate labour laws are not allowed.

3. Keep profiles truthful

Workers should:

  • Use your real identity and accurate skills, categories, and availability
  • Upload resumes and photos that represent you
  • Not impersonate another person or use stolen documents

Employers should use accurate company and contact details so workers know who they are dealing with.

4. Use chat responsibly

In-app chat is for discussing jobs and tasks. Do not:

  • Send spam, chain messages, or unrelated promotions
  • Share phishing links, malware, or suspicious payment requests
  • Pressure others to move off-platform before you are comfortable sharing contact details
  • Share another person's private information without consent

If someone makes you uncomfortable, stop responding and report the behaviour to yonsi@gmail.com with screenshots where possible.

5. Watch for scams

Common red flags on marketplace platforms:

  • Asking for upfront fees, "registration", or security deposits before any work
  • Requests to pay through unusual apps or personal QR codes with no clear job context
  • Jobs that promise unrealistic pay for minimal effort
  • Employers or workers who refuse any in-app communication

Yonsi does not guarantee payments — see our payment disclaimer. Never send money unless you trust the arrangement and understand the work.

6. On-site & personal safety

For on-site or in-person work:

  • Share meeting plans with someone you trust when appropriate
  • Meet in public or workplace settings when possible for first contact
  • Trust your instincts — leave if a situation feels unsafe
  • Follow applicable health, safety, and local regulations

Yonsi does not supervise worksites. Users are responsible for their own safety decisions.

7. Respect privacy

Information visible on Yonsi (phone, email, resume, location) is shared to enable hiring. Do not use it for unrelated marketing, resale, or harassment. Delete or stop using data when it is no longer needed for the job discussion.

8. Reporting & enforcement

Report abuse, fake jobs, or guideline violations to yonsi@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 9068894133. Include the job link, username, and a short description.

We may:

  • Remove content or hide listings
  • Warn or temporarily restrict accounts
  • Permanently ban repeat or serious offenders
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required

We are not obligated to monitor every message or listing, but we take credible reports seriously.
